Hey guys this is Michael here. Yes I do agree with Gloria. The image is an old fashion image because of the black and white. There is an unknown peron in the right window and an old women in the left window. I also see an American flag
What I see in this picture is; I see the American flag, I see two ladies in old time clothing and that the picture is monochrome, which means was probably taken along time ago. I can only see one woman's face, her face seems as if she's interested in what she's seeing, or surprised? I don't know. I can't read old people expressions.
In the above image i see what i feel conveys the reality that most people live as opposed to the american dream. There is a feeling of despair accompanying the shadow filled faces of the two figures one of the faces is completely shrouded. I feel the black and white american flag is meant to say these lives are black and white and these lives are rich and poor. The barely visible face is of an older woman who is clearly displeased and disgruntled by her current situation.
-What's going on in the image above? A man and a woman in two seprate winows are being covered with the American Flag.
-What makes you say that? That they are probably proud of their country or as I can say America.
-What more can you see? I can see my self fall to sleep na I'm playing I see the woman's face look banged up or f**k up in a way like she came out of war
I see two older women in what seems to be a very old building. One is hiding behind the American flag. It seems to me like they have just arrived in the country or are proud to be American. I say this mostly because the woman hiding behind the flag looks comfortable with it. It also looks like it was a picture taken from when there were a lot of immigrants coming to New York.
I agree with the unknown person under the name "idk". The image represents what's on the other side of the "great" American dream. This what happens to some of the American dreamers that don't get to make their dreams reality. So over all the image shows the other ugly side of the American dream when it's not reached. I can infer by the color that the person that took the picture is trying to say that America is not as perfect as we picture it to be.

i see a school that seems to have children as prisoner in there the same kind of feeling some of us bea students get. the gray look of the picture makes it seem so dull and sad. and i can see an american flag which gives away the fact of it being a school
Based on this image i can tell that its not recent obviously because its a black and white photo. The building seems kind of old as well because of the shades and the actual structure of it.This image looks sort of depressing as well because of the persons emotion.

I say it's an old picture because the picture is black and white. I believe that this image comes with a message, I think it means that a persons true identity is hidden when they live in America because they already have someone telling them what their identity is as an American.

I agree with Cindy and the idea of "The American Dream" not really being completely fulfilled. I say this because i think the two people in the picture are immigrants who obviously traveled here to make things better for them and their families, but they don't really look too happy about whats going on. Even though they do have pride to be in America(shown by the flag flying from their apartment). It seems as if they are watching a parade or something celebrating America or its Military. Maybe the person on the right behind the flag lost a husband or wife in the military which is why their face is hidden behind the flag.
In this photo maybe the guy or girl in the trench coat represents the govt hidden behind our flag and how they can see us but we can't see them and maybe the lady is crying showing that times are hard in America (the flag) and the govt using helping there hiding

I see the American flag which i believe represents the American Dream (peace, freedom, love, justice unity...etc) I also see two people... Person A is showing her face next to the flag which i interpret as a sign of hope and strong faith in the American Dream, while person B seems to be hiding her face behind the American flag which i interpret as a sign of lost faith and hopelessness in the American dream. I also see that the flag was hanged up by Person A which supports my point of view.
