  1. Gatsby is not reasonable to expect Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Gatsby has only re-met Daisy, yet he expects her to tell Tom, that she never love him. In chapter 5, Daisy and Gatsby meet again after years apart and begin to interact more and more. Gatsby may have seen this event as sign that Daisy still loves him. In Chapter 6, Daisy and Tom even went to Gatsby`s party. And just to spend more time with Gatsby, Daisy let Tom go write addresses of other women. Yet, this is not a reason for Gatsby to expect Daisy to tell tom she never love him. This event just means she would like to bond more since they met. Up until Chapter 7, Gatsby does not have a reasonable explanation to expect Daisy to tell Tom she never love him.

  2. Gatsby is not reasonable to expect daisy to tell tom that she never loved him. When Gatsby and daisy was away from each other for 15 years, although tom and daisy had there differences they also have a daughter together and good memories together as a married couple. They grew to love and care for each other. Example when tom said in the end he always came back to daisy. So telling tom that she never loved him would be hard for daisy because she did love him once or still kinda does. But Gatsby wants her all to himself.

  3. In the book The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby tells Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Gatsby is being reasonable because Daisy is strong enough to cheat on Tom but can't choose between the both of them. Gatsby feels that Daisy needs to choose who she wants to be with and if it requires her to tell Tom that she never loved him then she should do it. In Gatsby's perspective it makes sense why he would want Daisy to do so, but he has to understand that Daisy and Tom have a family. Daisy can't just pick up and leave because Gatsby is telling her to. Daisy on the other hand thinks Gatsby is being unreasonable because she married and regardless Tom always comes back to her. Daisy and Gatsby haven't seen each other in years, as soon as Gatsby reunites with Daisy and lays eyes on her again his feelings come back. Gatsby assumes that Daisy feels the same as he does but is still unreasonable. Gatsby feels that it isn't fair that Daisy can have both men, he just wants her to himself.

  4. Gatsby is not reasonable to expect Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. The reason for this is because although Daisy loved Gatsby for the 15 years they've been apart, Daisy had the support and care from Tom though he cheated on her with Myrtle. Gatsby also never has given Daisy an reasonable explanation as to why she should tell Tom she's never loved him.
There is a possibility that they have never really NOT loved each other, maybe the did. I also think Gatsby is being unreasonable considering he's been away from her life for 15 years, things could have changed, Daisy could have loved Tom without realizing it, maybe that's why she never left hi when she found out about Myrtle.

  5. In the book The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby expects Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Gatsby is not reasonable because even though Daisy has so much love for Gatsby, He knows she had once loved Tom. "Oh, you want too much!" she cried to Gatsby. "I love you now – isn't that enough? I can't help what's past." She began to sob helplessly. "I did love him once – but I loved you too." Daisy feels bad because she loves Gatsby and wants to run away with him but the reality is that she is part of a family and she did fall in love with Tom while Gatsby was away.

  6. Gatsby is not being reasonable to expect Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Yes Daisy met and loved Gatsby first but after some time she met and married Tom. She didn't marry him for nothing, she loved him for example in the book The Great Gatsby in the first chapter Daisy told Nick how her daughter was born and what she hoped for her. "I hope she'll be a fool—that's the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool." This quote shows how hurt Daisy felt because she was the fool who thought Tom loved her as much as she loved him when in actuality Tom was ceating on her. Daisy did love Tom but the love slowly disappeared for Tom.

  7. Gatsby is not being reasonable to expect Daisy his one and only to tell her husband she doesnt love him. She does love Tom because shes in a commited relationship with him they have a child together and over the years she has fallen for him. When her ex-lover Gatsby comes back the love she once felt for him came back but that doesnt mean he can expect her to abenden her husband and child for him. In chapter 6/7 Daisy and Gatsby's love seems to form again and there love is expressed and so many ways. The way Daisy acts with Gatsby shows him that she loves him and is willing to leave her current position for him. In chapter 7 when he tells her to choose who she wants she cant because she loves Tom as well so Gatsby forcing her to pick isnt very reasonable.

  8. Gatsby from the book by F. Scot Fitzgerald is being very unfair to Daisy, she already has more than enough with the fact that she has just got back into the life of her, what seems to be biggest love. So it is harder than it might seem to Gatsby for Daisy to say to Tom a man who she built a life with that she does not love him. She has a child by him they live together and they were together the whole time Gatsby was not around, so it is even possible that she did love Tom at some point. All in all Gatsby is asking for to much from Daisy is still not fully aware of what she might do no one is so she needs the space.

  9. In the book, Gatsby wants Daisy to tell her husband that she is not in love with him anymore, that she is now in love with Gatsby instead. Gatsby is being unreasonable when he tells Daisy to do this because Gatsby should know that everything has changed, and is not the way that he wants it to be. Gatsby has a sort of unrealistic love for Daisy because he doesn’t love what she is now, he loves the idea of what she used to be in the past when they were together before Daisy had gotten married to Tom. Gatsby is unreasonable with wanting Daisy to tell Tom that she does not love him anymore also because it’s not his responsibility to tell Daisy who she should love or not. In the book when Daisy,Tom, Gatsby and the others were in the city, Daisy says to Gatsby, “ Oh, you want too much! I love you now-isn’t that enough? I can’t help what’s past”, this shows that Daisy seems to feel forced in telling either of them that she is or is not in love with them.

  10. In the book The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby expects Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Gatsby is being reasonable because Daisy is leading him on, giving him the wrong signals. In chapter five Daisy tells Tom that he can go find other woman to cheat on her with when she says, "Go ahead, answered Daisy genially, and if you want to take down any addresses here's my little gold pencil." This gives Gatsby the wrong impression that Daisy doesn't care about Tom anymore, making him expect that Daisy will choose him.

  11. In the book The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby is not being reasonable to expect Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. At some point Daisy had feelings for Tom but she also had feelings for Gatsby."Oh, you want too much!" she cried to Gatsby. "I love you now-isn't that enough? I can't help what's past." She began to sob helplessly. "I did love him once-but I loved you too." This shows that Gatsby is anxious for Daisy to tell Tom that she doesn't like him, but Daisy loved Tom at one point in her life so she doesn't want to lie about that. Gatsby wants Daisy to confront Tom by telling him that she never had feelings for him and she doesn't want to be with him anymore.

  12. in the book the great gatsby daisy is being like rushed to tell tom that she never loved him.it must be very hard to just tell some one you never loved them from one day to another.Daisy was undecided because she had feelings for gatsy but once loved tom,so it will be wrong tom will feel like she used him when she knows her self she loved hum before she loved gatsby

  13. In the book, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby is being unreasonable to expect for Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Gatsby becomes blinded by the love he feels for Daisy and this leads him to be selfish. The reason why he's selfish is because, at the moment when he demands Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him, Gatsby forgets that Daisy and Tom have many things that connect them. But there's one major important thing that connects Tom and Daisy. A CHILD! Daisy and Tom have a family! And Gatsby becomes selfish when he did what he did because he didn't think that what he was doing might've destroyed a family! He let his feelings take the best of him. Daisy becomes overwhelmed by this. When Gatsby orders her to tell Tom that she never loved him, her reaction is: "Oh, you want too much! I love you now-isn't that enough? I can't help what's the past. I did love him once, but I loved you too!" Gatsby was being very unreasonable when he did this. He wasn't thinking.

  14. In the book THE GREAT GATSBY, It was reasonable for Gatsby to expect Daisy to tell Tom she doesn't love him because made him believe she never stopped loving him, she made him believe he was the love of her life.... she led him on. In chapter 5 when Gatsby and Daisy meet again after 5 years, Daisy's and Gatsby reaction as narrated by Nick states that "They were sitting at either end of the couch, looking at each other as if some question had been asked, or was in the air, and every vestige of embarrassment was gone. Daisy's face was smeared with tears," This is interesting because it shows that when the both of them met they thrashed the five years of them been apart like it never existed. If they could catch up and get over time that quick, if Daisy could forget she had a husband and child and fall in love with Gatsby all over again. Gatsby expectation of Daisy to tell tom that she never loved him was very reasonable.

  15. In The Novel Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald ,Gatsby is not reasonable to expect Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him.."Oh, you want too much!" she cried to Gatsby. "I love you now-isn't that enough? I can't help what's past." This shows how daisy has feeling for both tom and gatsby but gatsby believes that tom is no good for daisy and she better off with him then tom but even though daisy loves both of them she still care for tom and also says that they have some great weeding memories and they have a daughter together even though he cheated on her and gatsby on the other hand daisy still love him but its like they just reconnected with eachother after being apart for 15 years they still have some catching up to do before they can even be together.

  16. Yes Gatsby has a reason to think that Daisy will tell Tom that she is truly in love with Gatsby. Daisy expresses to Gatsby that she is madly in love with him and wants to be with only him. When it was time for her to reveal to Tom that she loves him she became hesitant. Gatsby was not wrong in any way for assuming that she would tell her husband because that is what Daisy was showing in the way she speaks to Gatsby.

  17. Gatsby has a reason for telling Daisy that she must tell Tom that she never loved him him. Although he has a reason for wanting this he is still not being very reasonable. Daisy and Tom are not just two people who live together, they have a child together. The fact that Daisy and Tom have a child together makes it quite difficult for Daisy to just tell Tom that she loves Gatsby and not him. Gatsby knows exactly what he wants but he fails to see the bigger, more realistic, picture,

  18. In the novel, The Great Gatsby, Gatsby is unreasonable to expect Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Daisy and Gatsby have history together but Daisy has not seem him in years. Daisy is married to Tom and they have a daughter together, she may not be happy with Tom now but many marriages have problems but she can't not love him all of a sudden. Tom has been cheating on Daisy for a while but she could have left him a long time ago, she loves him which is why she stays with him. Daisy was giving Gatsby all of the signs that she does love him but in reality she only acted like that because of his wealth and because Gatsby was so lovable towards her. Tom does not show affection to her but they have been married for a while and have a child and Gatsby spoils her and he is affectionate. That is why in Chapter 7, when Gatsby kept telling her to tell Tom she never love him, she didn't know who to choose.

  19. In the novel, The Great Gatsby, Gatsby is really unreasonable for expecting that Daisy would tell Tom that she never loved him. Daisy tricked Gatsby into believe that she was going to leave her family to be with him but Gatsby should have just sit back and see whether or not Daisy was going to make a move and then from there Gatsby could have known what move to make.

  20. probably because gatsby can tell daisy how much he loves her and just makes her love gatsby more and feel bad for him and tom will just feel heartbroken and that kinda not right i think daisy shouldent be with none of them because they just gonna keep on till they get daisy and thats not gonna be a good competition because gatsby is rich and like tom is like ordinary and wont bring a challenge

  21. yes, Gatsby expects Daisy to tell Tom she never loved him. The reason why Gatsby wants Daisy to tell Tom this is because he still loves her and so does she. Also the only reason Tom and Daisy had got together was because Gatsby was in war. Also Daisy couldn't wait any longer for Gatsby to come back home so she moved. Gatsby didn't have much to please her with also so Tom was basically there to do what Gatsby couldn't do but her love for Gatsby never died out. So in chapter 7 Gatsby tells Daisy to tell Tom that she love Gatsby but she can not decide on who she really wants and loves.

  22. In the book The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby tells Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. Gatsby is reasonable but still rude, knowing any man if feeling up another mans wife is the ultimate disrespect. even tom letting gatsby in his home didnt change the fact of respect. daisy loves both of them not just on which shocked Gatsby as a surprise, In chapter 7 tom confronted both of them for their suspicious ways and then the truth came out that they are both undercover lovers. tom is a bragger, everybody could understand why her love grew dim but Gatsby is a fake he is rich because he sells alcohol under the counter that is no different from a drug dealer selling drugs. daisy dosent know who she really is falling for but at the end the truth will be provided

  23. When Gatsby was sent to war far away, his love of his life Daisy was forced to move on and marry Tom who was a very wealthy man at the time. When it is time for Daisy to marry, she does it not because she wanted to but for the fact that Gatsby is still away and even if he returns he will still be poor. After 5 years of never seeing each other. Gatsby is fed up as his failed attempts of throwing his huge parties to lure Daisy in that he talks to Daises cousin Nick to schedule a meeting. On chapter 6 Gatsby tells Daisy that the whole point of the parties were to lure her in one day. After they have their awkward moment and they actually talk, everything is weird as they are all hanging out with Nick, Tom, and Jordan. Gatsby is reasonable to expect for Daisey to tell Tom that she has never loved him. Telling Tom that Dasiey is in love with him is the truth. The sooner that the situation would get brought up the better it would be for everyone. Daisy does not and is not ready for the topic to be brought up, but it is only right that they all talk about it while they have the chance to do so. Besides, Tom already suspected that something was up considering the way Gatsby and Daisy were talking to each other and looking at each other.

  24. In the book The Great Gatsby, Gatsby tells Daisy to tell Tom that she never loved him. I feel like Gatsby was unreasonable to expect Daisy to tell Tom she never loved him. He was asking for to much, Tom and Daisy aren't just a regular couple they have a child together. Gatsby can't just ask her to say something like that, because Daisy does have feelings for both Tom & Gatsby. She can't just say she never loved him when she did at some point in her life , she would be lying to both Tom,Gatsby, and herself.

  25. In life, sometimes... you feel like certain things are just supposed to happen. In life, you sometimes visualize a situation going a certain way, & in you're mind it seems pretty accurate but in reality you're perspective of how a situation is supposed to happen may be unreal to another. For example, -Gatsby expecting Daisy to tell Tom she never loved him may be a bit too much. It sounds pretty selfish to me. But some may view it as reasonable because Gatsby had Daisy first and it may be unfair for Daisy to be emotionally invested in two guys-Tom & Gatsby. I think it could be unreasonable because Gatsby is expecting too much because they have been absent in prescence from eachothers lives for so long. But then again I think it could have been reasonable

  26. Asking daisy to admit that she never loved Tom was very unreasonable of Gatsby. He has been away from daisy for years and a lot has changed, like for example she got married to Tom. While she was with Tom , he was cheating on her with myrtle and she knew this , deep in her heart she knows that she loves him . She finally adimits that she loves him after Tom starts to remind daisy of goodtimes they had and then he says he is going to start taking great care of her where after Gatsby intervened and said that he is the one that will be taking care of daisy . At that moment Gatsby was being unreasonable again .

  27. it is not reasonable to make daisy admit to tom that she never loved tom. when she actually did once loved him gatsby hasent seen daisy in years and now that they see each other again he excepts her to tell tom she never loved him. gatsby been away out of her life for a long time and throughout those absent years she marrys tom has a child with and made a whole new life which is non of gatsby buisness because she has a family of her own now and its not like shes just dating tom which will be totally different in a way that it will be fine for her to tell him that if shes willing to but theres a family here in jepordy so yes it was very unreasonable for gatsby to except that from daisy.
